Cuong Dang is the Founder and Chairman of Vietnam Vanguard, an independent leadership and intelligence platform connecting business leaders, investors, policymakers, and institutions shaping Vietnam’s next phase of growth.

He is also the Founder of Rēsu, a strategic advisory firm focused on leadership positioning, market access, partnerships, and capital-related opportunities for companies operating in and around Vietnam.

Cuong has spent his career building businesses, media platforms, and cross-border partnerships. He was the founding CEO of Forbes Vietnam, where he helped establish one of the country’s most influential business media brands and built relationships with many of Vietnam’s leading entrepreneurs, executives, and institutions.

He currently serves as Fortune’s Vietnam Country Head, supporting Fortune’s engagement with Vietnamese companies and leadership communities, including connections to its regional and global platforms.

Through Vietnam Vanguard, Cuong has built a growing platform for senior-level dialogue around capital markets, corporate growth, leadership, innovation, and Vietnam’s long-term economic development. Vanguard works with global institutions and partners including Washington University in St. Louis, Fortune, Singapore-based organizations, advisory firms, investors, and leading corporations in Vietnam.

His work sits at the intersection of business, media, leadership, and capital. He advises companies on how to strengthen their positioning, communicate with greater credibility, build strategic relationships, and prepare for larger stages of growth, including regional expansion, fundraising, M&A, and public-market readiness.

Having spent much of his adult life in the United States before returning to Vietnam, Cuong brings an international perspective combined with deep local relationships and operating experience. His focus is on helping Vietnamese companies and leaders become more credible, competitive, and visible in the markets and institutions that matter.
